Andy came to Mission Beach with $10 in his pocket, using it to build the Calypso Dive operations. His extensive knowlege of the Great Barrier Reef is proven in his 1000's of logged dives here. Dive Instructor
Andy has come aboard Calypso and loves to work every single day of the year. He is one of our experienced Dive Instructors who gets a lot out of taking passengers on their very FIRST dive of the Great Barrier Reef. You will find him at the bottom of the ocean or on the bow.... thinking about it.

He also made a scarring mistake of interacting with a Moray Eel.... ouch!
Keith has battled the high seas all his life so being the skipper on our reef trips is like a paddle in a lake for the Spock Man!

Dive Instructor
Nicole loves to take photos and is our resident whale watcher. Graduating top in her class from a Bio Medicine Degree, Nicole began with Calypso as a Dive Master in Training and finished off the year 2007 completing her IDC (congratulations). Nicole is now 'one of' our Dive Instructors combining her new qualification with her Eddy Reef familiarity, to guide you on the most interesting of dives....

Dive Instructor & Dive Operations Manager
Pete took a one way ticket out of the corporate world to travel the world and dive. He is a Marine Nerd & a reef conservationalist. We call him PADI Pete around the dive centre because he is the man with the extensive course knowledge. Teaching courses from Scuba Diver to Dive Master. Have a chat to him about specialtly courses, not only do they extend your dive knowledge but are a lot of fun out on the reef.

Skipper & Engineer
Ron can skipper any boat the old school way... with the stars and a map! There is no getting past Ron as Skipper to have the vessel running smoothly. He is Italy's top export and a celebrity magnet....

Dunk Jet Sports Manager & Tour Guide
Grant has need for speed! He lives & breathes Jet Skis. Currently South Australia's number 1 amateur Pro Jet Ski Racer and fnq number 1 we are looking forward for another 07/08 season on the new ski. Go Gas Man!

Office Manager
Mel escaped the fast life of Melbourne in search of a piece of paradise and found it in Mission Beach. We chain her to the desk at the Dive Centre fish bowl (some call it an office) though we let her out once in a while to re-charge her insanity, diving like a fairy with all the other colourful creatures of the Great Barrier Reef.....

Jet Ski Tour Guide, Deckie & Hostie
Better known as Guss, he is the host with the most, deckhand with Coxswain ticket. You will find him on the upper deck handling ropes or in the Galley making sure everyone has access to drinks and our on board Tropical Lunch. If you can't find him on the deck with the rest of the crew you may see him circuiting Dunk Island as Jet Ski Guide for Dunk Jet Sports, pointing out pristine and historical sites of the island life.
